Digitálny radca

The Slovak labour market is undergoing profound changes as a result of digitalisation, automation, and the rapid development of artificial intelligence. These trends are transforming the way work is performed and reshaping qualification requirements across a wide range of industries and occupations. While these changes create new opportunities, they also increase the risk of job insecurity for employees who lack sufficient digital skills or awareness of future career opportunities in the labour market.

According to OECD data, as many as 70% of jobs in Slovakia face a medium to high risk of automation. In addition, the World Economic Forum estimates that by 2027, up to 60% of employees will require reskilling or a significant update of their skills and competencies.

Digitálny radca was established in response to these challenges, with the goal of providing systematic support to employees as they adapt to labour market changes and prepare for the digital transformation in a timely and informed manner. The project aims to help individuals identify their professional potential and strengths, better understand employment opportunities, and actively plan their future career development.

The project combines job aptitude assessment, individual career development counselling, and awareness-building activities focused on technological change. This integrated approach enables participants to make informed decisions regarding their future career paths, reskilling opportunities, and further education in line with current labour market trends and employers’ needs.

The target group of the project consists of employees in the Slovak Republic whose jobs are at risk of, or significantly affected by, digitalisation, automation, and the emergence of artificial intelligence. The project is open to employees across all sectors and professions. Participation is simple — employees can register through the website www.digitalnyradca.sk.

Prior to its official launch, the project was implemented in a pilot phase focused on individuals with professional experience in the IT and telecommunications sectors. The pilot results confirmed both the relevance of the project and the need for systematic support for workers navigating labour market changes. As many as 92% of participants who completed the job aptitude assessment and individual career coaching expressed satisfaction with their involvement in the project.
