EU_CODE WEEK regional hub SK&CZ

EU Code Week is a grassroots movement supported by the European Commission and driven by volunteers across Europe. Anyone can organise a coding activity #CodeWeek and add it to the map on  codeweek.eu — whether they are schools, teachers, libraries, coding clubs, companies, or public institutions.

Launched in 2013, EU Code Week is a European initiative designed to promote digital skills and programming. It brings technology into schools and local communities across Europe, demonstrating how coding and digital tools can be used for creative, engaging, and hands-on learning experiences. Teachers, schools, and organisations are encouraged to organise coding activities for students and register them on the EU Code Week map. Activities focused on programming, computational thinking, and digital creativity can be submitted throughout the year, not only during the Code Week campaign period.

Participants can also follow EU Code Week and take part in various competitions and challenges, with opportunities to win valuable prizes while developing their digital skills and creativity.

Organiser
The initiative in Slovakia is coordinated by the Digital Coalition, which serves as the regional hub for Slovakia and the Czech Republic within the Code4Europe Consortium—a network bringing together more than 40 organisations from 20 European countries.
